Exporting to CSV
Every Sumline table, the Sumline tab in a space and Sumline under Apps, can export its rows as CSV. The dashboard gadget and the issue panel have no export.
Exporting
Press Export CSV under the table, then:
- Download CSV saves a file named after the space and the day, for
example
sumline-SLT-2026-09-29.csv; for several spaces, their keys are joined with hyphens. The date is in UTC. - Copy to clipboard copies the same text, ready to paste into a spreadsheet.
- Show CSV text shows the text on the page, for a browser that blocks both.
The export holds the rows on screen: after your filters, in your sort order, with the % complete basis you chose. Export CSV turns into Hide CSV while the export is open.
The columns
In this order, one row per table row:
- Space, only when the table covers several spaces: the space key.
- Key, Summary and Type of the row’s issue.
- Status: the status category (To do, In progress or Done), not the status name, so custom workflows compare cleanly.
- Story points done and Story points total.
- Original estimate done and Original estimate total.
- Time spent and Remaining estimate.
- % complete by estimate, and Estimate basis, the field it was worked out from.
- % complete by issue count (all levels), Issues done and Issues total.
- Unestimated children: how many issues below the row carry no estimate.
- Exclusion note: what was not counted and why, such as the issues whose own estimate was set aside because their children won, or the branches left out by done only.
A field an admin has left out of the rollup has no columns. See Settings.
Empty cells and zeros
A missing estimate is an empty cell, never 0, so a spreadsheet does not mistake “not estimated” for “no work”. Counts (issues done, issues total, unestimated children) are always numbers.
